Ungodly and Fortunate
God has servants whom He brings into the veil and to whom He talk of the secrets.
Shaykh Awhad took me to sama and showed reverence toward me. One day he said, "Why don't we be together?"
I said, "On condition that you sit in the open and drink in front of the disciples and I don't drink."
He said, "Why won't you drink?"
I said, "So that you may be ungodly and fortunate, and I may be ungodly and unfortunate."
He said, "I can't."
After that I said a word, and he struck his forehead with his hand three times.
