What Is My Work Other Than Deception?

That judge of Damascus, Shams ad-Din Khu'i - if I had given myself to him, his work would have turned good at the end of his life. But I acted with deception, and he used to swallow that deception. Woe on the day that I begin to act with deception! What is my work other than deception? God's work is this - deceiving.
If you buy a horse so that I may go, what would it matter?  You say, "I don't want you to go. It's not like this. I'll buy a hourse, but you stay - don't go!" You say this and this also is deception. That's not my work.
