He Would Follow Me!

It is not strange that no one sees a pearl placed in a heavy box, wrapped in a black cloth, hidden under ten layers, and pulled into the sleeve or a sheepskin. Thus the scent of the spirit and the sweetness of the spirit had reached Sayyid - not that he had seen the spirit itself. It  is a great distance from the level of reaching the spirit to seeing the spirit. Once the spirit is seen, one must go forward on the path of God from there, so that on may plainly see God in this life. I don't say "already in this world."
Although that pearl is within those curtains, the pearl has a radiance that strike out. The person with perfect gaze knows it without its being brought out. What is strange is that it should be brought out for someone, held before him, and he should see nothing. Otherwise who would talk of Socrates, Hippocrate, the Ikhwan as - Safa, and the Greeks in the presence of Muhammad, the household of Muhammad and the children of Muhammad's spirit an heart? - not the children of water and clay. And when God is present too!
Umar- God be well pleased with him - was studying a part of the Torah. Muhammad snatched it form his hand: "If that person upon whom the Torah was sent down were alive, he would follow me"
