To Whom Belongs The Power
They asked Hz. Mevlana: “How should we ascend towards God?” Hz. Mevlana answered: “Ascend towards Him as Nothing!”
All of existence is inside of us, all of life belongs to God; nothing is ours. The Eye sees with His power, the Tongue speaks with His strength, the Ear listens with His might, the Nose smells with His capacity… Do you believe you have any power over these? One day you will fall sick, one day you will grow old. In fact, you have no control over these things. This means there is someone else who has the Power; it is not in your hands. If this is the case, how can we say “I”, how can we say “You”?
