After The True Meaning

Every religion has various times and occasions that are set forth as reminders to the faithful. Their intention is to break heedlessness of the people and remind them again of the wonders and glories of God. In Islamic religion, there are occasions called "kandil". The word kandil means light. Before electricity they used to light up the minarets with oil lamps as a sign of a holy event; the word kandil has been used for those evenings since then.
If a person dedicates himself to God, he is a light in the world. For spiritual adept it's not special evenings with special names that count, it's living every moment with Divine Light and Purity. Worship, prayers or fasting have no value or flavor if we don't live the true meaning of them. If we only perform then fall into back biting and making innuendos, they become meaningless...(to be continued)
