A Part of the Whole

Sultan Walad said: My Father was sharing inspired insights regarding the meaning of homogeneity and affinity. He said, "The cause of love between people is homogeneity and affinity. These are not just words."
 Then he receited: What is homogeneity? Affinity that allows us to see a path towards one another. One destined for the Garden is harmonious with Paradise; the worshipper of God is also like that.
It is not miracles that cause faith, but similarity of kind that attracts the attributes."

He said: "The human being is attracted to the world of the prophets and saints, because he is a part of them and bears a similarity to them. The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O God Most Great! Guide my people! which means 'all my parts'
The Prophet said, 'You are a part of me; why tear a part away from the whole?"
