Salutation

After the third cycle the Semazens remove their cloaks and cross their arms across their chest, then open their arms as they begin turning. There are four salutations in the Sema.
The first salutation: The commencement of humanity, canonical obligations,
The second salutation: The way to true humanity, spiritual path,
The third salutation: The Divine revealing His manifestation in human, Divine truth,
The fourth salutation: The unequalled Mastery of God, all beauty is His Virtuosity...
The robe, called tennure of Semazen represents the shroud; it is the death of the 'self'. In the past the robes and short jackets were in various colors and also white. We have introduced colored robes because the Semazens represent the roses of the garden of Mevlana. As everyone knows, roses come in many colors; white, pink, yellow, red...(to be continued)
